Day Trip To Stirling Castle

A great family day out.

Only a 45 minutes drive from Glasgow city centre is Stirling Castle, one of Scotland’s grandest castles with stunning scenery.

With its impressive architecture, historical importance, beautiful gardens, as well as fun games and activities, there's something for everyone to enjoy.

Meet the Characters:
Travel back in time to the Royal Stewart Court and meet the King and Queen’s servants who will tell you about their jobs and life at the castle.

Get a taste of the past:
Rub shoulders with the busy kitchen staff preparing for a royal banquet.

Fun in the palace vaults:
Beneath the palace are vaults with fun, interactive exhibitions especially for younger visitors.

History Hunters Tours:
Join their special children’s tour, which runs every Saturday and Sunday at 2.15pm.

Queen Anne Gardens:
A peaceful and pretty garden on the sunny south side of the castle. Let the kids have fun pretending to be a knight or princess, while mum and dad can enjoy a rest.

Stirling Skeletons:
See how their scientists were able to turn a skeleton in to a lifelike model!
