Father's Day Events in Glasgow

by Jemma (follow)
With Father's Day coming up on Sunday 18th June 2017, it's time to think outside the box on how to spoil dad this year.

Glasgow has plenty of food and drink deals available, but why not add a fun experience in there too? Here are our five favourite choices:

1. The Golf Lounge

Never mind the socks and the aftershave, get dad something he'll really love - a day out at The Golf Lounge! Enjoy a meal and have a go at over 50 of the greatest course simulators.

Father's Day Golf Specials include:
1 hour golf and 2 meals for £35 or
2 hours golf and 4 meals for £50.

Gift Vouchers are also available from £20. To arrange either of these, call 0141 248 1611 or visit the website here.

2. Bring your Super Hero Dad along to M&D’s

M&D's Scotland's Theme Park is hosting a Father's Day special day with two of their favourite Transformers visiting, Optimus Prime & Bumble Bee! A Super Hero workshop will also be on offer for the kids to take part in some Father’s Day crafting, as well as an entertainment programme which includes a Super Hero School, games, prizes, disco and much more!

There will be a special Father’s Day menu being served at the Family Restaurant – why not treat Dad to some lunch or dinner? For more information, visit the website here.

3. Waterstones Grandad's Secret Giant Colouring in Extravaganza

This year on Father's Day, Waterstones on Sauchiehall Street have got a GIANT Grandad that needs a lot of colour.

Pop in and join them to colour in a massive poster of Grandad's Secret Giant so it can be displayed in store, and even stay for a story or two.

For more information, visit the website here.

4. WEST On The Green

Situated in the iconic Templeton Building on Glasgow Green, WEST On The Green is home to a beerhall-style bar and restaurant.

As well as an award-winning German-inspired menu featuring fresh Scottish ingredients, there are also Brewery Tours where you can walk through their on-site brewery and learn about how they brew their award winning beers using only water, barley, hops, and yeast.

For more information, visit their website here or call 0141 550 0135

5. Glasgow Science Festival

Father's Day is the last day of the Glasgow Science Festival, and also Science Sunday.

Meet real-life scientists and discover the many ways that ‘Glasgow Explores’, from the mysteries of the human brain to the deep sea and outer space. These activities are suitable for the whole family. Prepare to be inspired!
