4 local events that will educate and inspire you, and they're all FREE.

International Women's Day is a global day, which celebrates the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women.

Each year, many International Women's Day events are held worldwide, including in our own city of Glasgow.

Here are 4 local events that will educate and inspire you, and they're all FREE.

1. Failing Up! An Intimate Evening of Personal Stories

One of the biggest blocks to putting brave plans in place is the fear of failing. Great ideas have died, and opportunities missed because of a reluctance to accept failure as a positive experience.

International Women's Day with TLC Media

This year, TLC Media are inviting women to share their stories of when they've turned a negative into positive by embracing their challenges and failures. You'll hear from brave and honest women, who have used these moments to bounce back.

International Women's Day event with ACCA Glasgow

A crowdfunding campaign raised money to cover the cost of treatment in Thailand and a flight back to Scotland. She woke up from a coma in a hospital in Edinburgh, six weeks after the accident. Stephanie was used to fighting her way through life as part of her successful judo career, but her fight back to health makes for an incredibly inspiring story. Her story is one of achievement, resilience, courage and the power of human connection.

When: Thursday 8th March 2018, 6 - 8pm

Where: ACCA, 110 Queen Street, Glasgow, G1 3BX

Come along and hear Coretta Barry deliver an interesting talk around the Press for Progress topic, female Collective Voice & Successful Board Member traits.
