Kelvingrove Park

Family activities at Kelvingrove Park.

If you've got an empty day ahead of you, but you don't want to lock the family into a airtight activity or day trip, we suggest popping to Kelvingrove Park for fresh air, to stretch the legs and maybe even enjoy a picnic or cafe lunch.

Kelvingrove Park is a public park located on the River Kelvin in the West End Glasgow, containing Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum.

Kelvingrove is one of the city's best loved historic parks, an enduring legacy of Victorian urban parks, which has a special place in the hearts and minds of the people of the West End.

There are a wide variety of facilities to suit kids and families, including:

3 children's play areas

3 cafes - Museum and Art Galleries, An Clachan Cafe and Eldon Street entrance

Riverside walk: A peaceful natural haven to spot wildlife

Orienteering course

Skateboard park

4 tennis courts

There are also public toilet facilities available, and the park is open at all times.
