A lovely day out!

In an attempt to save some money and explore what Glasgow has to offer to little ones for free, I stumbled upon [Link https://en-gb.facebook.com/pages/Lennox-Park/201707196510528 ] in Milngavie.

The park is located a hop, skip and a jump from Milngavie train station. You can either take a detour through the shop-lined streets, pick up a picnic and head down Main Street or follow the sign post from the train station and be there in just a few minutes. Please note there is also a Tesco at the entry to the park which isn’t only great for picking up some goodies but also for popping into for the toilet.

Once you’ve crossed the babbling brook and taken a walk through the wooded area, you are met with another little bridge at the foot of the play park. There you will find a bench on either side and a cute little picnic table should you wish to stop and eat your goodies, or take your little one for a paddle as the water is no higher than your shins.

The park has a few elements to it that mean your children will have lots to do and you won't be met with ‘I’m bored’ on a regular basis. There are the traditional swings, climbing frame and slides, as well as an area for skate boards/bmx’s, and sand and picnic tables with board games on them. The children’s play park is set in sand with a grass perimeter, a few more picnic tables and most importantly, it is enclosed in a fence so no fear of your little one escaping!

This park is great for all ages, easily accessible via public transport and has all the necessary elements for a lovely day out.
