Mugdock Country Park

Only a 25 minutes drive from Glasgow centre, Mugdock Country Park is a country park and historical site, which offers a range of fun activities for the whole family.

The park has 270 hectares of woodland, moorland and heathland and is connected by a network of paths. It contains a loch, 2 castles, a stables complex and walled garden so there is plenty to explore!

The 'Walk Mugdock' guides and the Park Map are available to buy from the Visitor Centre Shop.

There around 2.5 miles of paths suitable for family cycling and all sorts of bikes for hire including: tandems, fat tyre bikes, balance bikes, child trailers, tag-a-longs etc.

Children's Play-Park and Adventure Trail:
At the visitor centre, there is a children’s play park for the younger ones and a more challenging adventure trail for older children. There is ample seating for parents within each site.

Shopping and Eating:
There are various places to shop and eat within the park, whether you are looking for somewhere smart to join the Ladies who lunch, a cosy afternoon coffee or somewhere more relaxed to take the children in their wellies!

The Stables Tearoom is set within the Victorian Stables Courtyard area of the Visitor Centre.

Events and Activities:
Events and activities run throughout the year, including cinema club, dance classes, nature classes, pantomimes and more! View the calendar here.

FREE entry and parking. Dogs are welcome under close control.
