Primary Tutors Scotland offers online tuition in literacy and numeracy from experienced teachers specialising in the Scottish curriculum to help every pupil become happy and confident in their learning.
They are unique, in that they teach to the Scottish curriculum, all of their planning is based around the benchmarks to help every child succeed.
How does it work?
Primary Tutors Scotland offers free initial assessments where they determine strengths and targets which are discussed with parents/ guardians. The tutor will then create an individual learning plan for the child to ensure their specific learning targets can be achieved.
All of the 30 minute sessions are full of interactive games and activities where children are able to write on their device to interact with the activities shown by the tutor.
The focus of teaching is on all areas of literacy: phonics, spelling, reading, writing and comprehension. As well as all areas in numeracy and maths: number processes, fractions, decimals, percentages, data handling, time, money etc.
